Planning guide

Choose a chain and validator setup

Match validator operations, explorer scope and recurring cost to the network you intend to operate.

Who this guide is for

Teams launching a dedicated production EVM network with a compact managed validator set.

Scope and trade-offs

  • The service includes four managed validators, Explorer Brand and Basic Network Registration.
  • Configured 450 ms block time and supported EVM compatibility
  • Administrator, validator-democracy and hybrid governance modes
  • PoSA/Parlia network with supported EVM compatibility

Prerequisites

  • Final Chain ID, native-currency details and public operator addresses
  • Approved domain, branding and governance authority

Configuration and pricing

  • Validator count using the published USD 150 monthly rate
  • Explorer Pro or Enterprise upgrade with the included Brand credit

Common mistakes

Chain Start delivers one new managed chain with four validators. Chain ID is immutable after genesis; validator count, minimum stake and supported governed parameters can change through the active governance procedure.

Operational implications

Managed support for Chain Start covers network configuration, validator operations and changes made through the authorised governance procedure. Additional capacity or work outside the accepted chain profile is quoted before it begins.

Recommended next step

  • Genesis and network configuration record
  • Managed validator set, Explorer Brand and network operations guide

Practical examples

Example 1

A Chain Growth network with 21 validators retains the $12,500 setup fee and has an $8,500 monthly service charge.

Example 2

At 50 validators, the same Chain Growth formula produces a $15,750 monthly service charge without imposing an artificial validator ceiling.
